Our Little girl is doing great - but desperately needs a name - we have gotton some great submissions and will be hard to choose - keep sending in those name suggestions - the final day for submissions will be Jan 31, 2009 - then keep checking for her new name selection and our winner . . . .

She is a lover and a talker, she has a small independent streak but overall sweet.  She is a quick learner and you usually only have to tell her "no" one time and she behaves.  We have started her training now.  Its so important to only allow her to do the things you want a 500 lb tiger to do.  Its hard because you just want to play with her and stalk her back and more.  BUT will not be as much fun as an adult and she would not know the difference of why you will not allow her to do the things we use too.  We need as many volunteers to help with her training - its important for her to have as much contact and experiences as we can expose her too.  This helps to have a well rounded tiger. 

We will be having a zoo day at our gift shop on Jan 31 from 9:00 - 4:00- keep an eye out for more information on this.  We also offer hands on experience oppertunities after each tour on a daily basis.  You can have hands on experience with our tiger cub and/or our baby albino wallaby.  Its an experience you will never forget and what a photo opportunity - call 352-567-WILD (9453) or come to Zoo day on Jan 31, 2009.
