Help Needed
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a better year coming . . . We had a good Christmas - we did homemade gifts due to the economy and I loved it - the men in our family complained but did a good job too. It was allot of fun . . Its been a hard two years for us as I am sure all have also suffered from the down turn in the economy. Unfortunately the donations and tours are down and we are seeing no up-turn in this area. We had hoped that this Fall things would greatly improve but this has not come to pass. Thanks to the donations we have received we have made it this far. As many of you know me I hate to ask for donations - relying on education and our reputation to get us the help we need, but things are getting to the point I am forced to ask for donations to help us continue to rehabilitate the wildlife and to continue to give the best care of the animals in our facility. We have a pair of lions and two baboons needing new cages built with no funding available at this time. We also have had to put out allot of funds on winter houses for the many animals we have taken in this year as well as improving the kitchen area to help us with the added feeding requirements - not to mention the hugh cost in feeding over 190 animals. I am asking that if anyone finds it in the pocket book and heart to help us - we really could use it now . . and it will be appreciated. We are in great need for your blessings. If you are unable to help financially we can always use volunteers to help with our labor . . as with the financial crunch we are using less labor and allot of us are working 7 days a week - we can also use towels . . and many prayers for our needs. We also can use anyone in marketing to help us promote our facility to bring in the public to help us. We are having a free Zoo Day coming up in January - which is a way for us to give back to less fortunate that are unable to afford to come to the zoo and it will help others learn about us and our mission to help these awesome animals. Hope that you can attend or help support us in this area by telling others about it.
Again, any help would be greatly appreciated by us and all our animals at Dade City's Wild Things
God Bless and have a heart felt new year ! ! Kathy

Kathy- My heart feels for you and your animals. Unfortunately we are in a similar situation. My God bless all those who care and enable us to continue the work.

I took my son there last year when we were visiting my father in law. We live in Cape Coral, Fl. It was great! I will send a little something and will also post a link in the free Cape Coral website to let all know about you. We hope to be back soon.

We appreciate the kind words and the support - We work hard and enjoy every moment - but some times its more than we can do - We are very short this month - need to get $600.00 for electric bills, $350.00 for extra hay and bedding, heaters for this heat wave, and food. We will reach our goal - God Wiling and with people like you who believe in our cause. You can also read more at Facebook.com - keywords Wildthings Stearns - thanks again, Kathy
