We sure had fun at the Steeplechase - Tianah had fun and was a good girl. We have been walking her daily on her leash and she is actually learning manners - she starts to jump up on me and i tell her no down and she is starting to mind. Its great - we still are kicking balls and she runs (me too, getting my exercise) after it and pounces. Its great - I am also actually teaching her to stay off the plants so Kenny does not get mad.

This was my response to Fla Fish on the deffinition of Sanctuary
my concerns were that we are creating a crack in the system for abuse - allot of sanctuary's-using this word loosely, want to keep animals and not exhibit - also no breeding was discussed - what happens when there are accidental births - as they seem to be having - does this exclude them from sanctuary if so - for how long - i see no reason that these animals can not be exhibited - just on a limited basis - i see no detrement to the animals for this reason-at least on site exhibition - and i think it also is good public education to see the animals cared for into retirement - and the animals have medical reasons so forth - are allowed not to be exhibited - but to give a full pardon on all animals - young and healthy, infants, adults, retired animals etc. is leaving a large area for abuse that will be exploited. Thanks kathy

PS: I consider my self a sanctuary - because i take in animals needing homes, abuse-retired-adopted and more and i have no problems with breeding, exhibition and so forth - sanctuary only means to give a refuge and home to an animal in need - not all this activist definitions so they can have them and make money on sob stores and tell everyone else they should not have these animals.
